La Maison de Beaumont
In 2024 Jules took La Maison de Beaumont Residency as an opportunity to reset, witness, and document the sunlight filtering through a small Provincial town. Gaining inspiration from the warm glow radiating off the buildings, exteriors and surrounds to then create a series of oil pastel drawings and larger scale paintings on silk.
Villa Capri
In 2022 Jules stayed at the dreamy Villa Capri, Soller, Mallorca. Soller bounds endless opportunities for discovery and expressiveness. Wonderfully, there were no expectations with this residency and days were spent swimming, hiking, observing artists, taking film and drawing her surrounds. With this freedom, Jules developed a plan of all she wants to achieve in 2023.
Numeroventi
In 2018 Jules was selected as an artist in residency at Numeroventi, Florence. The historic residence dates back to the early 16th century and now encompasses a thoughtful modern aesthetic bathed in natural light. Numeroventi has openness and calm and was filled with inspiring young creatives. Jules loved this opportunity to focus on painting amidst the beauty that is Italy.
